I went into this film expecting a pretty good time. The movie is eminently quotable, even to this day I can't ask someone for their ticket and not think of the scene where Harrison Ford punches the Nazi out of the Zeppelin saying "No Ticket!".
But maybe that's where we should have left this film. While watching it with an eye towards the quality and how "good" it is, the film, to me at least, did not hold up. By and large it isn't a bad film. It's a quite average film. The action is formulaic and the plot is a bit convoluted. Romance is thrown in just because he's Indy Jones and he needs a woman to romance.
Overall the film is a good action romp that does maintain its status as eminently quotable. But it is decidedly average.
