Idea for a game, You are a soldier in an army. Give a ton of back story and propaganda of how your nation has been persecuted and attacked and that after many years of this we(the nation) had to finally defend it’s self violently. Make the “We are Just” the real theme of this part of the game and that our freely elected president will lead us to victory!
As a soldier you progress put into key positions and rise through the ranks.
Keep the propaganda up.
keep giving increasingly more and more access to information and to people higher up the ranks as you progress.
get more of the back story,more propaganda, humanize the conflict in favor of our side.
At some point you get to where you are at the right hand of the leader. And in passing he mentions that you should go to the archives and watch some videos to prepare for the final invasion of the enemy. Their forces are strong but their morale is broken.
Now present the player with a ton of videos, everything that he’s seen in the game, and all of the propaganda and all the files that he needs to prep the attack. Also provide another folder, the leader’s private videos. Show that you have access to it but be told explicitly that the files you’re looking for are else where.
Inside this folder are videos and documentation demonstrating, beyond a doubt that the whole war was instigated by us, that we started it and that the leader and key figures are all profiting from this, that we are committing all the crimes that we have accused the enemy of.
There should be a delete button clearly labeled as well as buttons to leave the files or to take the files with you.
Now offer the player the choice. delete the files or leave them alone then he can walk back to the leader and present his battle plans and lead the invasion and take over the enemy nation. or you can take the files and confront the leader, from there you can leave, kill the leader, lead the invasion. or take the files and run and defect!
In any event be allowed to take control of your nation’s forces,(or the enemy forces if you defect) and fight for your side until the side you chose wins!
