Creating a "sperical" earth and individual block interaction

OK been thinking about the issue of creating a spherical earth block deformation per core depth and individual block deformation. I realized this morning that we can make it all a moot point and treat all blocks equally with a few basic principals. first the earth is a huge block made up of a gazillion little blocks with the edge blocks arranged in such a way to approximate a sphere. in other words generate a block of blocks in a pattern that mimics an arch in all directions. generating in this manner also means we don't have to skin a planet just the individual blocks, and we can generate planets of any size just by adjusting the origin radius values by equal numbers for the endpoint blocks. The sheer number of blocks involved in a planet will lend to roundness at the farther and farther zoom distances. The carving out of massive amounts of blocks will also alter the shape of the planets as viewed at large distances,,, so yes you can carve your spherical planet into a bowl. or whatever shape tickles your fancy. also sub dividing individual blocks in a similar but smaller manner allows a player to make whatever shape is pleasing to them from a block. may a suggest just for center point ease an odd number,\like maybe 15 mini-cubes on each axis to make up a block. this will allow for approximating curves and such and will drastically innovate the shapes that things can be constructed in. We must have and auto run button and a disposal function.
